The Flow Performance at Kjøpmannsgata Ung Kunst, K-U-K

The first iteration of The Flow Performance took place in 2023 at K-U-K, Trondheim, Norway, as an interactive audiovisual installation and live performance. This early version explored improvisation, in both installation and presentation. Through five unique performances combining collaborative musical improvisation, dance, visuals, and light fixtures, the installation responded dynamically to the feeling of the moment, creating an immersive and ever-changing artistic environment.

The response was overwhelmingly positive, with many participants describing a deep sense of presence, meditative states, and even moments of transcendence. The fluid interaction between the body, visuals, and sound created a collective experience that blurred the lines between performer and observer. Some audience members even compared the experience to a form of digital ritual or contemporary dance of light and motion.

This first iteration laid the foundation for future explorations, demonstrating the potential of The Flow Performance as a framework for interactive, interdisciplinary artistic expression.
